Jonathan Fabricio Perez was born in October 1993 in El Salvador. Artis was named after his dad, Fabricio Torrez, and his mom is Veronica Meza. Since Jonathan was a kid, he has shown a love for music. It was hard in the beginning because his family struggled with economic issues. He started to work as a barber at age 13 while also studying. During that time, he started learning to sing in a church. While being a barber, the artist heard stories from his customers about them struggling with depression and all sorts of stuff, and he wanted to find a way to help them get through that situation; however, he was inexperienced.
In 2015, he met with a heavy metal band, and the artist started to sing about those with depression and leave a message hidden in the song to help them. In 2016, he moved to NY. It was complicated to continue with the band because they had a different idea of how to move in the music industry.
In 2023, Jonathan decided to move on by himself and created Jonny Ghost. And again, started to write the same music, trying to help people fight depression. As any new artist starting from scratch, he struggles with financial issues. However, my dream hasn’t changed is to help people fight depression and help through those hard times.
