Jorge Vázquez was born in Los Angeles, California, and is proud of his Mexican parents. Mexican culture and music have always been in an artist’s soul since he was a child. The father and mother were born in the beautiful state of Jalisco. From the age of 4, Jorge began singing at family events, performing songs like “La Mochila Azul” and “La De Los Hoyitos.” It was his father from whom he learned to sing, to connect with the audience, and above all, to respect them. At the age of 9, he learned to play the piano and guitar. By the age of 12, he wrote his first original song titled “Algún Día.”
Jorge continued to develop the skills, and at around 15, he formed his first musical group. They started getting hired for various events such as weddings and quinceañeras. A few years later, the group was signed by a record label, and we recorded one of my songs, “Cuando Pienso En Ti.”
With a catalog of approximately one hundred songs, Jorge’s music is influenced by bolero with a touch of pop and a hint of jazz. Of course, Mariachi is present in my repertoire of Regional Mexican music with an orchestra. This summer, the song “Yo Te Esperaré” will be released in different cities in Mexico.
